    STAY IN STRATFORD - MAFFRA AREA

    DATE: Start Monday March 21st with option 2 OR 3 nights.

    STAY: PLEASE FIND & BOOK OWN ACCOMMODATION. Suggest Stratford Caravan Park for cabins & campsites/caravans

          OR    Maffra  Motor Inn - motel rooms, well equiped.

          OR YOUR OWN CHOICE . PLEASE LET ALISON KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE BOOKED.

    Research is underway for a trip to Bright.  Alison has found a house in the Bright Caravan Park which she has booked. 4 rooms, all taken but room for 1 more if required.

    DATE. Monday May 2nd for 3 nights in Bright.

    OPTION: stay overnight to break journey eg Bonnie Doon & arrive in Bright next morning.

    Also, walk Thursday morning before leaving, with option to overnight somewhere like Thornton, Rubicon area. Maybe visit somewhere next morning.

    We have enough people showing interest to hold the trip. Anyone else interested, please let Alison OR Liz know once you have booked your accommodation of choice.

    Bright Caravan Park is the main choice to stay.

    Wonthaggi Rec. Reserve.Korumburra Rd. Park around oval near grandstand

    LEADERS: Liz, Alistair, Ken.

    Walk paths, firm gravel tracks through wetlands etc., some streets & rail trail.

    Morning tea at Guide Park. Approx 8km Easy.

    BYO picnic lunch - sit in grandstand.(or drive to shops)

    Erewhon Point. Cnr Esplanade & Steele St., Cowes

    LEADERS:Sharyn, Belinda, Glenda(whip)

    Cowes to Silverleaves along paths & streets, then beach to Observation Pt. Might see hooded plovers. Return along beach as tide goes out. Total 10km. Mostly Easy.

    PLEASE ADVISE IF REQUIRE SHORTER 8KM OPTION - CAN THEN BE ORGANISED.

    BYO Picnic lunch to have in in the park with 70th celebration.
