    Powlett River to Anderson back carpark

    MEET: ANDERSON ROUNDABOUT CARPARK . Toilets available  Car pool to the Powlett River.   Sufficient car seat spaces will be left at Anderson for all walkers.  If you’re late you may not get a return ticket! Walkers pile into all other cars and drive to the Powlett River end carpark where the walk will commence promptly upon arrival.                                                                                                        WALK:Powlett River to Anderson carpark.Some quiet roads and rail trail walking.  8.8 km mostly Easy.    Enjoy the transition from sea shore through flood plain and on to woodland as the group follows the rail trail up the 80m gradual climb to Anderson.Be on the lookout for Silver and Pacific gulls, Superb Blue Wrens and Grey  Fantails along the track.  Throw in a few ravens, maggies and the odd Eastern Rosella and it becomes quite the twitchers delight

    MORNING TEA:At about the 4.5km mark, take a brief break next to the new skate park in Kilcunda where toilets are available  Onwards to Anderson where our waiting cars will take us back to the Powlett for cars

     CAR POOL:If you think you can help with the  carpool…. Clean out the baby seats etc in anticipation 

    Remember this walk precedes the BCS Christmas extravaganza so a dab of eau de toilette and a fresh shirt wouldn’t go astray. Oh, and reindeer antlers …. Don’t forget them.    Cheers Stu.

    Hi All Short Walkers ,

    We will meet at the Big W carpark in Wonthaggi at 8.45 ready for a 9am start.

    Our walk will take in the rail trail and the wetlands.  At the conclusion of the walk there should be time for a

    cuppa before we move on to the Old Dalyston Church for our Christmas break up.

    After our walk, we will drive to Dalyston for lunch at the Old Dalyston Church Cafe.

    Everyone should have their order in now.

    If you would like to participate in Santa gift giving /stealing game, please bring $10 gift for fun. Also money for raffles if you so choose.
